Its another great episode with one of home brewing’s masters You can find the full episode with show notes here. I assume the meal had been made several minutes previously and not brought to my table in a timely fashion. Randy Mosher, the author of Radical Brewing and Mastering Homebrew joins me this week to discuss tasting beer, beer aroma, judging beer and also his upcoming book. The French fries were also not hot enough. My venison burger would have been much nicer if it was hotter, but it was lukewarm. There was no evidence of skill involved in the preparation - all the ingredients can be purchased from Carrefour and the chef showed little appreciation for presentation. I didn't order nachos (my friend did), but I tried them and they were the worst I've ever had. The portion of nachos was huge, I must say, but quantity is no substitute for quality. All of which combined to make a soggy, messy, inedible concoction. jalapeno peppers from a jar, absolutely disgusting, gooey, tasteless, processed cheese, a minced beef sauce with cream (which was OK, but not nice when it went cold) and guacamole dumped randomly. The food, on the other hand, was expensive and desperately poor, especially the nachos, which included big chunks of tomato, a few. I enjoyed the German IPA which was reasonably priced.
